The Mandell School will be opening up two new preschool locations in Manhattan. One on the Upper West Side in the Lincoln Center area and the other in Tribeca! Now this is exciting news if you live in the Downtown area because Downtown families desperately need more preschools. I am also hoping that the addition of this new school will make the admissions process to The Washington Market School, a local Tribeca school, less competitive. According to a friend of mine, you have got be a celebrity of some sort to get your kid into the morning program at The Washington Market School. According to her, Jon Stewart’s kids went there and the morning slots mostly go to the children of television stars. I don’t know. We will see. As for The Mandell School however, they are now accepting applications for the 2012-2013 academic year and their school will be open to children between the ages of 2 and 5. Good luck!
