These last two weeks have been extremely difficult for me because I had to let go one of my nannies. It wasn’t a decision I made lightly given the fact that this nanny was very smart, competent and hardworking. That said, she was a grump and I couldn’t take it anymore.
Now I am looking for a new nanny and this time I am wiser about the process. The NYC nanny game can be very difficult to navigate especially for the inexperienced. So over the next few days (maybe tomorrow) I’m gonna do a post as to what you should expect from your nanny and how best to handle salary, vacation days, sick days etc.
