I bought a lot of toys over the last year and most of them were flops. Some toys, though, were a hit with my kids and are toys that I would recommend if you’re shopping for a toddler or baby this Christmas season.
Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Home. This is by far the favorite toy in the house. It’s great for music lovers (my son David) and for fine motor skills development. It is also good for language development. Retails for about $98.
LeapFrog Learn and Groove Activity Table. This was the first plastic toy I bought for my kids which wasn’t an easy decision. I was dead set against plastic toys but relented when I realized that my kids wern’t playing with the wooden ones. When I bought this toy, they were so excited by the lights and sounds that they literally pushed each other out the way to get to it. Retails for about $45.
Haba Walker Wagon. This is my favorite toy in the house and I think a great gift for walkers and pre-walkers. It’s heavy so it doesn’t tip over like some of other walkers on the market and it is pretty safe for kids. It is also made out of wood and a nice toy to look at overall. Retails for about $150.
Children’s Factory Tumble N Roll Cylinder. I bought this toy about a month ago for my kids and they love it. With this toy, your toddler or baby can roll the cylinder, crawl through it and play peek-a-boo! Retails for about $150.
Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learn & Move Music Station. This toy was actually a gift from a friend and my kids play with it daily. Great for music lovers and good for fine motor skill development as well. Retails for about $52.
