My New Life Without A Nanny…

I have had a nanny to help me with the kids since their release from the hospital. Most times I have had two full time nannies to help me. As a result, I couldn’t imagine my life without the help of a nanny, until recently.

In April, I hired a new nanny and she seemed like a good fit. She was energetic, competent and eager to please. She was also reliable and willing to work whenever I needed her.

After a few weeks, however, I made some observations that made me uneasy and I decided I would start interviewing again. Before I had the chance to do this our relationship came to an abrupt end one Friday afternoon. Suffice to say that what experienced with her was so unsettling that it will be a long time before I hire someone again.

Currently, I am relying on my family to help me with the kids. So I am a lot busier than I used to be, but I am also happier. That said, my kids are very active with very busy schedules so I am not sure how much longer this is going to last. It’s called the Nanny Free Project and right now my plan is to start each day by putting one foot in front of the other.

I have twin girls and was travelling around the world working for an oil company. I don’t know what i’d do without her around that she was needed! But her mom got sick in Mexico and she left. The whole house was sad. Give it another chance.

    • I may. I think right now I just need a little time given my last experience, but I may change my mind on the whole nanny thing. I know there are tons of good nannies out there!
