Date Night At The Garden!

Before my husband and I became parents, we had date night just about every night of the week. I would come home from work and he would say something like “hey there’s a new restaurant. Want to check it out?” My response was always “yes” especially since I didn’t do much cooking back then.

Having Fun While Giving To Charity!

This past weekend my husband was in Vegas. Yes, Vegas! Initially, I wasn’t thrilled about the idea of him going to Sin City but it was all for a good cause. He won ringside boxing seats through an online charity auction called charitybuzz.com. Through the auction, he also got the chance to hangout with some of the boxing commentators like Al Bernstein, Steve Albert, Jim Gray and Paulie Malignaggi. The best part is the proceeds from the auction went to benefit the Brent Shapiro Foundation, an organization to help to help drug addicted teens.

Some Gender Sterotypes Are Real

When my husband is sick I do my best to take care of him. I do. I bring him tea, soup, whatever he wants even though he only appears to have a papercut, lol. Today I am sick and I have had to ask him several times for breakfast. I asked him to get me a bagel with cream cheese and a cup of tea. It took 15 minutes or longer for me to get the food. When it finally came the bagel was not toasted and the tea was unsweetened (I take sugar in my tea). Perhaps I am asking for too much. Since getting married I haven’t spent as much time with my single girlfriends. Things got worse after I became a mom. Relationships with women can be complicated and be even more complicated when spouses and children enter the picture. The fact is, though, women need other women. The last few days have been pretty cold in here in NYC. So we stayed in quite a bit, but never had a dull moment. The kids rode their tricycles, played with Megabloks, and had fun together squeezing in the tunnel. My favorite item though is the Alpine Tunnel Slide I bought them last year from the Children’s Factory. After caring for the kids for more than 6 months without a nanny, I have finally decided to make some changes. A family member of mine will now be helping me with the kids full time. . Thanks to her, on Tuesday I was able to run an errand and meet up with my husband for lunch. Of course when I got home, I resumed my normal mommy duties.
