4 Steps To Looking Beautiful Even If It’s A Ponytail Day

When you’re a busy mom, finding the time to take care of yourself can be difficult. With just a few simple tricks even the most sleep deprived mom can look well rested and beautiful every day of the week.

For this I have consulted with photographers and make-up artists (to some of today’s well known stars) and even with some of my gal pals who are always ready for their glamour shot!

Brows – Always maintain your brows. Getting your brows done is the easiest and best way to give yourself a make over without the time investment of an actual make-over.

Concealer – Putting concealer under your eyes (even if you don’t have dark circles) will brighten your face instantly and take years off your face. Instantly!

Bronzer – Honestly, Where would J.Lo and Kim Kardashian be without bronzer? Honestly. So at a minimum wear bronzer daily even if you don’t like wearing makeup or have the time for makeup. A good bronzer will give you a healthy glow and have you looking like a super star.

Wear a night time serum – Invest in a good night time serum that will exfoliate your skin and make it part of your bed time routine. With little to no effort, you’ll wake up every day with smooth glowing skin. One of my favorites is the Vitamin C serum from Mario Badescu.

  1. Thanks for the tips! I am always looking quick tricks to looking good on the run. I can remember when my son was around 6 weeks old I was lucky on days I could at least get a shower, let alone put on makeup and do my hair. I will never forget my “mother in law” approached me with a really concerned expression on her face said “what are we going to do with your hair today?” I knew I wouldn’t let another day go by where I didn’t take at the very least 5-10 to tend to my own grooming and care.

    • I can relate a few times my grandma would look at me shake her head and say “I don’t like what I’m seeing.” My grandma doesn’t have a problem with candor, but it hit me that we still need to take care of ourselves. It’s important and it doesn’t take very long to look good. It’s better for everybody. :)

    • These are great tips. Thanks for sharing. Im giggling at the “Mother in Law” comment. They always have something to say. It so hard to keep yourself up as a Mom especially a new Mom. Im wondering what the Hubbie thinks.

I agree with you Melvina extra time is SO necessary. I “try” to still look polished. Its hard but it makes a huge difference.
