When I applied to my kids’ preschool I applied for a bunch of reasons. First, I applied because of the school’s excellent reputation. Second that they have a diverse population and third, that parents a part of this community genuinely love the school.
Last night though I was reviewing the school’s handbook and found yet another reason why I love that school. In the handbook, the school talked about clothing and reminded the parents that it’s preschool and not a fashion show.
The kids will be planting, painting, cooking and making other assorted messes throughout the day. So dress them in something simple and comfortable. They don’t want the kids coming to school concerned about keeping their clothes clean, but rather they want them to focus on their “work.” Love that! Now, if I had only known that before I did my back to school shopping.
