The Power of Women

Growing up I never really had male friends. I always had female friends. Truthfully, I connect better with women and have always found my friendships with guys in the past to be “difficult” (but that’s for another post and for another blog).

Anyway, I love my circle of gal pals. We know how to laugh and how to have fun. Now, that we’re all a bit older though, I’m realizing something else. I’m realizing that my friends (especially those of us who are mothers) are uniquely great sources for support, advice, encouragement and even inspiration.

Last night I had the pleasure of hanging out with someone who I consider to be a friend and a very inspirational. I spent some time chatting with Miko Branch, co-founder of Miss Jessie’s, to celebrate the launch of the company’s latest hair product, the Leave-In Condish. I’ve known Miko for some time now, but what I love most her is that she celebrates women and has become an incredible businesswoman all while being a mom!

  1. I love Miss Jessie’s products!!

  2. I am also a fan of inspiring people and helping people feel empowered. I have Soulful Sunday post on my blog were I try to motivate my readers. I came across your website from Essence. Thanks for those tips as well.
