Truthfully, I have a lot of goals for 2014 but here are my top 4!
1. Show more love – To the husband that is and not just during our time together but when we are with the kids as well. The other day my husband came home early from work to spend time with the kids and me. A few times during the evening David and Eva kept asking me to sit down next to him. It made me realize that the kids need to see us being more affectionate with each other in their presence. Typically when my husband and I are with the kids, it’s all about the kids. While it’s fine that we put the focus on them, they need to see us be “us” in front of them too.
2. Find a church a home – Like a lot of people I have church at home but it’s time for me to find a real place to call my church home.
3. Trust myself more – We all have intuition and we all know when something juuuust doesn’t feel quite right and I’m gonna trust myself more in 2014. I’ve had a few experiences now where I didn’t listen to my inner voice and felt the consequences of that later. So the next time that small voice inside of me tells me to stay away from someone or something. I’m just gonna go with that.
4. Work on that album – Lol, I’m kidding. I don’t have a singing bone in my body but I do write from time to time and each day I’m getting more and more serious about working on that book.
